Homesick for Tatamagouche
Brad Brough Blog #3
September 29, 2008
Hi, Brad Brough here.
So, it’s been a couple of weeks since we all left your town and gave it back to you!
Just wanted to touch base with you all and let you know what we’re up to.
First of all, I just wanted to personally thank everyone in Tata for your warm support and hospitality to our crew. When we all hopped on planes to go home, we all felt a connection to the town that we didn’t expect. I think this comes with the level of mutual respect that we all showed for each other. It was an incredible honour for all of us to be able to experience your town for the short period of time that we did and be welcomed into your homes and your lives. It takes a lot of guts and trust to do this and we appreciate it.
For the next 4 months our post production team will be combing through hundreds of hours of footage to cobble together 8 episodes of ‘The Week the Women Went’, to begin airing late in January on CBC network. It’s a huge, huge task and an incredibly challenging one. The idea of trying to capture the essence of a place in just one week is a tough one, but a challenge we’ve taken on with gusto. I’ll be supervising the edits along with Ed and Peter out in Vancouver, so I’ll keep in touch in the months to come and let you know what’s happening.
As the airdates get closer, we’ll be in touch more.
Please feel free to drop me an email at anytime, I will get back to you promptly.
My personal email address is:

If you have other concerns, please feel free to contact the series producer, Ed at

Thanks again for a once in a lifetime experience, we on the production team wish you all a warm and safe winter with your families (no more hurricanes!).
Happy Oktoberfet, no one will be drinking of course….right.
Very Best
