General Questions

How long is your film crew going to be in Tatamagouche?
Our crew will be there from September 1st till around the 18th. The women will be gone from September 7th-13th.

Are there any "rules" to participating in the show, like I can't hire a babysitter, or bring in my mother-in-law from Truro?
We hope that everyone will participate in the show in the spirit in which it's intended - following the "rules" of it will make it a more satisfying, meaningful experience for you and your family.

What if I really need to bring someone in to watch the kids?
This show is all about coming up with creative - ideally ones that don't involve women at all. Call the office number listed in the "Contact Us" section and let one of our producers know if there's a group of you (men) finding solutions together, or if your solutions are particularly interesting – (like a bunch of guys forming a daycare group) this is what the show's all about.

When will I know whether or not I'll have a camera following me for the week?
You should know by the first week in September if there will be a crew with you for the week. But just because there isn't one in your home doesn't mean you won't be a part of the show – there are a variety of ways, like the community project, that you could be featured.

If I take the week off work to take care of my kids, will I have my wages compensated?
No. We can't compensate people's wages.

Do I need to sign anything before I agree to be on TV?
For us to be able to use your image on TV, whether or not your "features" or just in a crowd, we need you to have signed a release form. All it does is let us use your image in the show. Our assistant directors will be handing these out to you when we see that you might be on film.

What should I do if media contact me about the show?
If the media get in touch, please direct them to our unit publicist - Susan Stafford. She can be reached at 416-506-1238.
